Good to hear, Bill. 70s and 80s in Baltimore this week but I’m too booked-up at work to drive Bridget. I also took the rear drums off (finally) to R&R them…so she’s right now on jack stands until at least the weekend. Sigh.

Dang. That does suck. Hope it gets better and stays that way for at least a long time.
If no one here bites on those rocker arms, you might try listing them on the Speedster Owners Group’s classified thread. Lotta dudes there might be interested.edsnova2016-03-05 13:53:47

Take the gauge off the battery, as instructed.
Also: ground your engine to the chassis. Put a steel strap or a bit of thick copper wire from the block to a frame rail. Bolt and washer or a sheet metal screw. Put a little grease on it to keep the rust off the metal where the paint’s scratched off to make the connection. -

You did a lot in one day, looks like. (And why you messing with your kitchen? Looked fine to me).
Here is my question, which if I understood geometry better I would not need to ask:If you dog-leg that clutch rod where it comes off the pedal, won’t that be pretty much the same as attaching a straight rod lower down? And would that not simply give… -

Bill, that’s hilarious.
I’ve returned to Bridget to find people–men and women, girls and boys, kids and grandparents–snapping pictures of themselves in front of her. I always ask if they want to sit in the driver’s seat and let me take the pic. I don’t always remember to get one for myself, but sometimes.Hey, I should driver her down B… -

U clamps work just fine. My car’s cable was looped through a single cable clamp and it stayed fast for decades. When I replaced it I went sort of overboard.

I’ll be very keen to hear how that frame-stiffener install goes.

edward ericson replied to the topic Phoenix… my revival project in the forum My Project 10 years, 1 month ago
This is what happens. I filled a bit of B’s frame head rot with JB & scrap steel. Should have bit the bullet & had it welded from the get-go. And you should too.

You could send the calipers back? Mine do not interfere with the wheels; yours shouldn’t either. Tell Cip1 or whoever what your problem is and see if they can make it right.
As for the narrowed beam–I almost got one and chickened out. Regret not getting the 2-inch narrowed version when I went to the adjustable beam. But the 2-inch drop spindles… -

The Wires look great. Did you do what Roy did–re-drill your hubs for Triumph bolt-on adaptors? Or something fancier?

Great job, both of you.
And +1 on the MG Magic ready-made dash. It’s a really nice piece, particularly if you have, or want, a radio on the passenger side.It would be very hard to duplicate for the money. -

Dashboard=fun
Here’s the start of my long saga. Keep clicking “next” at the bottom to follow along.I had put new(er) gauges in before starting the new dash process and I think that made most of the difference. My wiring is also a rat’s nest and ought to be re-done, but I was able to mark wires AND leave the gauges wired up under the scuttle while I… - Load More
