I rather like that “Shooting Break” above. Just wish that I have the finances and stable property to house one. I’ll keep dreaming, and looking for a better job.

Thanks! I happen to have some peppermint oil in the kitchen, so I’ll try sprinkling some around to see what happens.

MGLondonRoadste replied to the topic VW Factory Dune Buggy? in the forum Other Kit Cars 10 years, 7 months ago
That’a pretty cool. My brother and I dreamed of dune buggies and hunted for them on the roads as we traveled on family vacations around the western USA. I only lack adequate garage space for all the toys I’d like to have, but alas, my budget doesn’t allow.

Thanks for sharing that. I had a VW bug as my first car, living just an hour away from Disneyland. I fell in love with the MG TC and TD models as a kid in the 60’s and now have two TD replicas. This photo of one of my favorite places shares memories and brings a smile to my face.

Lordy, lordy. What I type when I’m tired still baffles me. It should have been FF for Fiberfab, red Mr August of a recent past calendar page.

MGLondonRoadste replied to the topic Slow start to the season in the forum General Discussion 11 years, 4 months ago
While neither of my kit cars are running right now, it’s the perfect time of year (all winter, really) for top down driving, and I’m enjoying my Honda S2000. Yes, I’ll pay a price in the summer, but for three seasons of top-down weather, it’s no wonder Arizona is the number two site that is searched for by those tired of dealing with the cold…[Read more]

It’s beautiful, so get a lift. Please don’t dump the MG after all you went through to get it back not too long ago.

You and your family have my condolences. He sounds like a wonderful man and he certainly helped raise a good son. I lost my father ten years ago and my mother over 30 years ago. My heart and thoughts go out to you and your sister, and all of your family.

I thought I would be bringing in more cash from the job I started in February last year. But I just saw my end of the year payroll year-end totals and have a better feeling why I haven’t had any cash all year. Between taxes and benefit deductions, I’ve got nothing left at the end of each two weeks once bills are paid. Yes, it’s better than no…[Read more]

Yes, the Soltice looks nice, but have you tried to take the convertible top on and put it back on when you’re pressed for time? I looked at one at one for sale in Phoenix. The salesman couldn’t figure out how to show me how the top came off. You have to unsnap it all the way around and manually put it in the trunk. I thought we did away wit…[Read more]

As one who has only tried once to sell items on eBay, but bought many, once a listing is posted, you can’t change the title. I could be wrong, but at least the seller put the updated information in for anyone interested.

MGLondonRoadste replied to the topic Sold my TD in the forum General Discussion 11 years, 10 months ago
Good bye, Mrs Peel. I’d be really hard up for cash before I sell either of my motor toys. Even a large dollar offer couldn’t buy what I have now in either car. I suppose if I ever get good and tired of a toy, I’d consider selling it. But I don’t see myself even close to that stage yet.Good luck with your new venture.
