Cheapest I can think of is to Google VW shows in and around your area. Then go and see what’s there.

I went again this year mainly search for those Brazilian rims. They have awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each class with kit cars as one of the classes. And it was the 2nd year in a row they had less kit cars than trophies. One last year and two this year. If mine was complete worst I could have done this year was 3rd.

Had a mini cooper when I was stationed in England. It was sort of the squadron’s car because each time the owner shipped out they sold it only to someone in our squadron. Cool little car that I drove the little wheels off. Sold it to another technical sergeant when I shipped back to the states.

Fiberfil kits use the fake spare to mount the metal spare tire mount. The spare tire mount is a metal bracket within two studs that you drill through the fiberglass mount. Chattanooga show is in a few weeks. I always make that show. 3 hr drive one-way but worth it to me. Usually 300+ VWs of all types. They even have a kit car class.

I was 46 when I got mine, 18 when I got my A&P ticket and 45 when I got my Bachelors in Aeronautical Science. Never to old to learn. Two biggest things with learning to fly is always stay ahead of the plane (be ready for you flaps etc.) and good hand/eye coordination. Now we take you back to our regular thread. 😉
