Hey folks I just spoke to Greta at the hotel. We are set, hospitality room is as usual, invoking “Speedster Owners Group” should get you in with us. Call the front desk at <span style=”font-weight: 400;”>(717) 766-9006</span> and if there’s trouble check in with Greta Bowring directly (717) 458-0531
She says currently Paul & Glenn, Al Greig, me…[Read more]

Currently the site runs on WordPress using the PHP language, version 7. PHP7 is a bit old at this point and all the cool kids are moving to PHP version 8. I say all the cool kids really meaning everyone who runs a reasonably up-to-date webserver is.
So, at some point in the next few days our service provider will be upgrading our back-end…[Read more]

Thanks all. Bill tells me the normal Hotel (Courtyard Marriott in Camp Hill) does not yet have a Speedster Special deal. Al Merklin of the Speedster group is on it, so registration and (possibly) a reduced rate should be set fairly soon.

Hey folks, how many can we count on for Carlisle this year?
My old droogie Alan Merklin, who has traditionally handled accommodations, Is asking about it over on The Speedster board.
He wants an idea of the head count so the hotel knows how many rooms to set aside.

Bumpers from an original TD will also fit.

They’re scarce as hens teeth. You’ll need to supply the make of the kit and whether front or rear engine. You’ll find the grill from the original TD will be easier to find, but will require modifications to surrounding body panels to make fit.

If you haven’t moved on this, would you post a link? I would like to see what he would take for the carpet set.

edward ericson replied to the topic Parts interchangeability ? in the forum General Discussion 3 years, 1 month ago
Caveat: this interchangeability is between Ford and VW of the same brand kit. So Fiberfab to Fiberfab, Dutchess to Dutchess and Allison to Allison. If you have a MiGi VW and buy a British Coach Works or other brand dashboard it won’t fit.

With the exception of carpeting, yes. I drive a FordTD and had come across someone selling the soft trim package for a TDr cheap. (Builders garage had burnt down and these items were in his basement) Seat covers and tonneau fit fine. I did not receive a top so I can’t confirm. Carpeting for the back area behind the seat fit but the floor is…[Read more]
