$3000 seems rich for that particular car, despite the low miles. $300 would be a good deal. $1,000 might even be justified if she’s a runner. But plan on spending thousands of dollars and as many hours to get her in shape.

Anyone who does not have trouble with the rear right hand bolt, as you describe, does not really have a Holley Bug Spray. An Allen head bolt will help.

Good to hear, Bill. 70s and 80s in Baltimore this week but I’m too booked-up at work to drive Bridget. I also took the rear drums off (finally) to R&R them…so she’s right now on jack stands until at least the weekend. Sigh.

Does not look that bad to me – sitting in a dry garage is a good thing.

Dang. That does suck. Hope it gets better and stays that way for at least a long time.
If no one here bites on those rocker arms, you might try listing them on the Speedster Owners Group’s classified thread. Lotta dudes there might be interested.edsnova2016-03-05 13:53:47

Thanks Bill, I’ve had problems with double vision since just before last Carlisle. Gotten worse, but maybe it’s better now. The worst of it is the cost and loss of confidence. There was a period of about 2 months (Dec-Jan) that I couldn’t drive, couldn’t read, couldn’t play the organ. Age and genetics related. Sucks!Royal2016-03-05 13:50:38

OK TDr-land. I have decided against installing the 1.25 ratio rockers after all. (Eye problems. Not one of the things you ever think of…..until it happens.) But I do have a brand new set of new 1.25 rockers with the shafts and with new extended studs for the pedestals and a full 12 pc set of EMPI shims (21-2310-0) that I am going to se…[Read more]

Your volt meter should drop to “0” when the key is off.

edward ericson replied to the topic Volt Gauge in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 10 years, 1 month ago
Take the gauge off the battery, as instructed.
Also: ground your engine to the chassis. Put a steel strap or a bit of thick copper wire from the block to a frame rail. Bolt and washer or a sheet metal screw. Put a little grease on it to keep the rust off the metal where the paint’s scratched off to make the connection. -
