Another semi-regular update to wordpress this past week. We are at the current version 5.6.1. Nothing really to report other than that.

Not sure how I missed seeing this for a few months! My printer is offline at the moment, though hopefully back operational soon. I’ll send you one for free. Private message me your address.
Give me a few weeks though, need to wrap up the semester (work at a college) before I’ll have free time.

“Cadillac dealer in the Detroit” — definitely the London Roadster. It is very much like the Daytona though I have found several differences over the years.
Look in the site’s Library under Manuals. There’s some info there about the LR.

I also tweaked the fonts on the sidebar. Somewhere along the way the text got really small (completely unrelated to my eyes getting older). So I bumped the size up a tiny bit and added some larger margins.

The detailing looks identical to my London Roadster in its original form. The pinstripe, whitewall tires, fog lamps, horn placement.

In the background @pmossberg and I have been working on fixing our registration problem. Whenever we turn on the “Register” we get a bunch of SPAM registrants. When we turn it off, @pmossberg and I have to manually register people, which means they have to email us and wait for a response. This causes a delay in getting new people in the…[Read more]

@ricrx you have a photo of the instruments you pulled out? Do they have a gold or chrome bezel?

Not sure, it looks like it worked. Did it fail once and then work the second time?

I *just* did a version upgrade of WordPress to 5.4.1 (the latest) to see if it resolves @edsnova ‘s photo upload problem.

Applied a few minor updates to the back-end system today. Does not appear to have broken anything but please let me know if you find out that it did!
*Almost* time to get my TDr off the blocks and onto the road here in Maine. Will be a good distraction from the world at large!

So much for the reCAPTCHA, we were still getting spam registrations. Self-registration is turned off again 🙁

I’ve completed this update and several others today. Here’s a summary if you are interested:
- Update to PPH 7.4, this is the above mentioned update
- Update to WordPress 5.3.2, which is the latest available version
- Added Google reCAPTCHA to the registration page and reenabled self-registration. Hoping it keeps spammers at bay.
- Tweaked the…

I’ve re-enabled registration on the site and added a Google “reCAPTCHA” to the process. Hopefully this will slow the SPAM that Paul continually deals with, and reduce the number of emails we get asking, “How do I register?”. Which in the grand scheme of things is not many, but delays people joining and contributing to the conversation.
We will…[Read more]

Received the following message from our hosting company this morning, an update is on the way. Hopefully it won’t break anything!
I’m going to opt for the self-upgrade path and will try to find the time this coming weekend (11/9/19 – 11/10/19) to follow their process. So if you see our site down one of those two days, or both, don’t completely…[Read more]
