Allen,  I know mine sat for quite some time before I got to them but I finally had to take them to a mechanic who used the hydrolic machine to finally break them apart.  By that point I had beat them so much and so hard I couldn’t lift the hammer any more.

Working on vid now.And yeah, $450 for a 20-minute flight is something I would probably not have done. Having done it though, I think it might just be worth it for a once-in-a-lifetime ride. Paul,  I was suggesting removing the main jet cover plug which is part #14 on Rob and Dave’s 34 PICT carb rebuild exploded view.  If you could get access to these plugs, removing them should drain the carb float bowls without changing any carb setting.  Just unscrew, drain the bowl and then screw them back in.  With a little luck you would get wat…[Read more]
