An 8″ Ford came in all V6 powered Pinto variants (Mustang II, Bobcat) and all the Pinto and Bobcat station wagons had them too.
I like them because the 3rd member is a “pumpkin” style that can be built on a bench or swapped out easily. I actually have two complete 8″ Pumpkins, one a 3.80 and one a 3.55 for my 40 Ford.
These are narrow, but t…[Read more] -

The buyers, a young newlywed couple are perfect for the neighborhood…a cul-de-sac with lot’s of young couples and little…[Read more] -

So far, I have made it from Phoenix to New York City and then back west to California. I’m now in a town about 45 minutes north of Sacramento, CA and will try to make Santa Cruz tomorrow.
I got to meet Montie and his wife, and their car, Audrie in Ohio and Montie took me for a country ride. What a beautiful area of gentil hills and two-l…[Read more] -

Summit racing has many sizes of the RCI fuel cells that include senders. Check their web site for more choices than what’s in their catalog. Good price, safe, and close to a custom fit. They even have mounting tabs on them.
Mark, I’m really glad for you. I think I’ll probably have to work until I’m dead! -

Does your seat sit down into something? If so you could use a piece of cardboard and rough trace it out and trim till it fits and use that for a pattern.

I would be interesting to see how the Fiberfab VW model compares with the Ford Front engine model for weights.

Thanks for the info Rob. I make regular trips to the county dump. I’ll have to see what they’ll do for me and pick a day that they aren’t to busy.

Allen,
I took my car and had it weighted at the local town dump with has a pretty accurate truck scale for weighting trash, they didn’t charge me. I weighted the car with the front tires on the scale then just the rear tires and then the total car. Race cars get corner weights with four scales one on each tire so they can be properly tuned. The taillights on my ’81 Lafer TI appear to be from an MGB. As for the mounts, you might have to source those — and the rims — from Brazil.

Allen,
I made my cushions the same thickness all over. If you make it thinner in the back that is probably where you actually sit and you—-well I wanted all the cush I could get there.
I made new seat bases out of plywood. Basicly I made a box approx the same length and width of the original fiberglass ones. You can actually make them a…[Read more] - Load More
