Yeah, I’m running better than ever after changing out the timing belt. I had the radiator boiled out and I’m running 15 degrees cooler. I suppose the radiator hadn’t been touched for 25 years. Something to think about if any of you guys car’s are running a little hot. Thanks for asking!James; run, don’t walk, to the nearest lottery ticket dea…[Read more]

Ktro95, You can probably find all the fittings to make your top bows at a boat supply dealer. The tubing may be cheaper at a home improvement store. You will need a tubing bender like the ones electricians use to bend electrical conduit. You can rent a bender at a tool rental place or perhaps you know an electrician who will lend you his. The…[Read more]

It’s not one or two people with nothing better to do.
aarose is a professional spammer.
Frank is the only one that can delete memebrs. He does stay on top of it. But this one really needs to go NOW. -

Ktro95,
Take a look in the photo gallery of this forum. I have a drawing of the top bow set for my Fiberfab made from aluminum tubing. That may help with that part. My new factory top fit the bows perfectly.

Paul; not sure that is going to work.I am on here daily(due to being up to early)reading current posts and giving my advice when I can.I have seen a few newbie posts in the last 2 months that do not make sence.I suspect it is 1 or 2 people that have nothing better to do.I did a little research about members, and came up with 71 newbies in the last…[Read more]

Paul,
You must be very proud of these two fine young ladies. They did a wonderful job. I have passed the link around the office. Are you sure she’s your daughter? She’s beautiful …. must take after her mom.
I think they should get extra bonus credit in driver’s ed. Thanks for letting us know, this is a very important message by some wonderful…[Read more] -

Hey DickH,
It was my engine that locked up, but not anymore. It’s still a mystery as to why. I was under the engine, with the pan removed, it was locked up tight as can be, no way it would turn. I laid there staring at it, reached up again to turn the crank just for fun, and it turned just a freely as can be, the pistons just glided up and down,…[Read more] -

DickH,It was JasCochran’s car that had the locked up engine,Ringo’s just stopped running because of a bad timing belt. He is back on the road, but last I heard James was reworking some stuff under the dash.Look several spaces below your post in the Chevy Ford kit section to see their latest progress.

Mel,
Great find. I just recently got a radio for my baby, but not as good a deal as you got. Paid $179 and the only difference is the entire radio slips out of the mount to use in the house ( I’ll probably never use that feature) and it’s not retro. Also mine does not have the card reader, bummer. Thanks for letting know about this, appears to be…[Read more]

Did it over the weekend. I’ve got this routine. First I add a can of CD2 and go
for a drive. Then, while the oil is still warm, drain it out. I replace the oil
filter and refill with Castrol 10-40. Then I add Z-Max and go for a drive, per
the instructions. -

Thanks Mark – good info.
I’ve not bothered our friend Rick Drake on this one. He’s done so much for me that I’m trying to handle it myself. A buddy at work brought me a pair of spring isolators from a 4 cyl Mustang that visually look like they may fit. I’ll have to pull the spring again (I had put it back together in a rush so the wife coul…[Read more] - Load More
