That being said you will have more fun grabbing a right seat from one of the TD guys and jumping around to different cars so you can see a variety. In addition the speedster guys will let you try as well if you want to check those out. I am sure Paul will be driving his – I am sure he could be convinced to let one of us poor TDr guys get a… -

Sorry to say, my son, David, will not be in attendance. He’s to be best man at his friend’s wedding. He says a true friend would not have scheduled that particular weekend. But, oh well, the following weekend is the Jefferson Hillclimb at Summit Point that he’ll be free to attend.

Indeed. Styling cues instead of trying to copy the old car. Looks cool but, as Bill can explain, that rear suspension setup was not the best & should be modified.

Yeah, unless you went for the authentic, barely-works wiper motor. I don’t recall Jack’s exact tea setup but I thought it might have mounted high enough for my scenario. Still works, even if not. Especially since Jack won’t have to duck!

Jack: I suggest you bring the whole tea party set. I envision a scenario during the new (to us) car limbo competition, in which street-racer Honda Civics and such compete to see who is lowest. Typically this involves, aside from the usual (terrible) lowering tricks, a half dozen of the driver’s best friends piling into the car to get it even…[Read more]

Friday night dinner with Wobby usually, if he attends. If not dinner is a ” free for all “. Saturday is the awards banquet. Cruisin’ in a truck? No no no. You’ll be able to snag a ride as copilot. If you snag copilot ride to show field would you even need a ticket? Anybody confirm this?

In most states the fogs are not allowed to be on with the high beams. If you want to get around that just get a dual on toggle switch. Use the low beam hot feed to one side and and a hot all the time feed to the other. Just throw the switch when inspection time rolls around.

You’ll want relays. They are cheap and not too complicated to wire, even for a novice. Google “wire headlight relays.” You’ll get good instructions and diagrams. We’ll walk you through it.

I think the monochromatic wiring must be a FiberFab thing. All my wires are blue. Drives my mechanic crazy.

check the fuse(s) first. Next check the switch. I’ve had switches fry from the amperage load drawn by headlights. If it’s the switch, it’s OK to buy another just like it–but also buy two headlight relays and wire them in so each headlamp (or headlamp and fog light) has its own.

Left side panel now has a zipper.I had my son David drive her this afternoon and he gave it two thumbs up. My wife says it’s still too stiff, but it’s better.
