I tried the HotWire setup. It made no difference. I also just picked up a volt meter, so when I can I will do some checking….I may have to call in a professional though because I am stumped!

Well I got my new ignition switch. That didn’t work! I still have to get the volt meter and try the tests that Bovi and Mark suggested. I also am having trouble seating the Ignition switch the way I had it originally. I can’t seem to get it to where you need to hit the release button on the bottom of the steering wheel to free the key. (this is…[Read more]

Yeah, the lights and all work, the engine just won’t stay running. I’ll try the hotwire! Sounds like fun.

Thanks for the advice guys. I am starting to appreciate anyone with enough patience to work on an electrical system. I did receive the new switch yesterday, but they sent me a broken one. I was tipped off when I couldn’t tell the difference between it and a maraca. It had something rattling around on the inside, so they are sending a new one. I…[Read more]

Wow Larry, Do you dislike me that much? I’m not even going to get into what my wife would do if I bought this kit. If it were up to me I would have it in my garage as I speak and I would be looking for a chevy chassis! But for now I will hold out and hope for the seller parting it out. Rob, yes it is missing the grill. He also said it has no el…[Read more]

I actually just got off the phone with this guy. He is looking for $1,600.00 for this. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build from scratch seeing as they are so rare now. He said he has a prospective buyer in Yuma, AZ. Personally, I hope it doesn’t sell because he said he would be willing to part it out in that case. He is o…[Read more]

After living in Buffalo, NY for 23 years It is nice to not have to worry about shoveling all that mess! But it has been a good 6 years now and I miss it(I think). Next week, Phoenix is expecting 75-78 and Sunny! I have been letting Stella “rest” for a good 6 weeks now and I think I may have to get her looking good and ready for the weekly c…[Read more]

No I actually broke the one in the pictures so I am running without one for now. My dad seems to think I can just chrome a plastic one. I still want a metal one if possible though. In my experience my dad is always right, whether I agree or not. I guess the plastic one is lighter too so that’s a plus.

The seller got back to me. Unfortunately, it is plastic. I will keep looking, but in the meantime if anyone sees one please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks James! I sent him a message asking if it was metal or not. If it is I will buy it and maybe look into getting it chromed. Geoff

Thanks for the link Mel. The only problem is that I have to power 4 speakers and 2 x 15 watts probably won’t cut it. I think the memory card feature is really great though. Thanks again

This is probably a dumb question but, do you have to use the old knob style radios or can you put any radio in there that fits the hole in the dash? I have a tape jammed in my radio and would prefer one of the newer stlye cd players.

I am biased towards my set-up but I do enjoy the spinners more than the caps and I think the wide white walls are my next purchase. Cool photo collage!

K&N adds a little HP which is great, but most of all you never need to replace them. I am still looking for the right size K&N for my Holley. It sounds like your engine bay will be looking good. If you find any other good dress up parts let me know. I am trying to find a metal timing belt cover to replace the stock plastic one. Also I am th…[Read more]

Hey Rich,
Do you know where to find the little green plastic turn signal indicator covers like the ones on your dash? I have been missing one for a couple of years and it is really starting to bother me. Can’t seem to find one!
