To me the buyer paid about 50 K too much.   At the British days show last year, the average prices on ones for sale were 18 to 24 K.  The show winner even was for sale, an A+ car down to the last lug nut, asking price was 24 K.   He took it back home too.

Ed, mine did something similar a while back.  I lost all gages turn signals and horn do to one spot.  It was the common wire under the fuse block.  It had came un-sodered (do to lack of any other term).  I used a stick light to chase down which spot had to be re soddered.  Easy fix,  pain in the #$%^& to find.

Yep I remember most of them.  Some of those old signs are still up in Missouri.

I agree, it was all about the car.  If I remember right, after the fire they then shoved it in a pond.   Still one of our fav movies. 

I had to get the red shirt too.  White car red trim.  I tried to get the natural with white car and red border she couldn’t do that.

Hey Bill, I just talked to a guy with a rebuilt Pinto engine, 400 + hsp, turbo, 9000 red line.  He claims it will do low 9’s 1/4 mile and about top speed 180.  Wonder what kinda milage he gets.   I’m lookin to make mine a little quicker, I think this would be over kill.

Mark, Yes she did.  GREAT movie.  Thats who my car is named after.  My wife (girl friend at that time) and I saw it waaaay back then, and decided some day we would have a TD.  

I was getting about 26 to 28 last summer.  Thats just round town, I stay off the hwys if possiable too much wind.

Welcome Smitty.  I lived in Greenville for a short time back in 57-58.  Dad was moved there for work.   I don’t remember much about it just how friendly everyone was.  I was only about 7-8 years old then.  I did pick up a southern accent, took alot longer to loose it when we moved again.
