It sounds like a error was made back in Arkansas.  Possibaly even when the car was first titled.   I’d bet when the first agent made the title they saw the replica MG TD or MGT on the paperwork and then looked in the book for 1981 no TD showed up and they assumed it should be a “B” and made the correction/mistake.  I guessing though…[Read more]

I agree Bill, wipers?   I actually feel about the same way about the top, it’s there for emergency use only..

Bill, my wipers arms have a cap that just pulls off a slpine, well with a little rocking, pulling and yelling.  The spline it self has 2 set screws holding it on the shaft and the wiper arm slips over the spline.  Make sure you line the wiper up as you put it back on or your pulling it off again. 

When I drove mine home the first time I had to pump the brakes too.  I made sure the emergency brake worked though.  Just in case the others failed.. 
Was a fun ride, had to feather the gas and hold the brake at stops to keep it running (old gas).  I didn’t have but about 30 miles to go, wife was following and taking pictures.    

Glad to hear all are ok from Irene.  TV news reporting alot of flooding and power out.   

Wish it was closer, my brother has been wanting to put a V8 in mine ever since I bought it.  He wants to build a street rod type TD.  
I did find a turbo T-bird locally, only $800, but not sure why I need that much more power.  I guess if my engine ever goes belly up I’d think more seriously about it.

Paul, my State Farm policy declaration page has the words ” Vehicle value ” and then $18,500.   There is no ACV any place in the policy or dec. page.   I’ll check with my agent and make sure of what it actually means.

I wonder why your agent couldn’t insure yours.  I wonder if there is different state regulations within State Farm.   My agent even came out took pictures of the car for their files.   I took it back up last month so he could document the engine with pictures. 

My insurance company (State Farm) required me to use their appraiser for a replacement value when I first bought it, $18,500, so mine is insured for that.  Guess this guy on ebay really took it to heart as the selling value too.

I heard of them about a year ago thought they were very pricey, for my budget anyway.  I have less than 10% of the sticker invested Audrey, and I have air too.  I think my next addition will be a Speedster.  Always wanted one, so saving my pennys.  Montie

 There’s a couple Gazzells running around real close and I did hear of another white TD someplace about 30 miles north.  So far I hav’t ran into him.

You probably were looking at same knock-offs on ebay I am.  Only advantage I see in them is they are available in 15″ too.  lots more tires available in 15″.    Price is almost the same including del as MG magic’s..  decisions..decisions..decisions??
