Sounds like Allen is looking for full time rear view camera in lieu of mirrors, not just for “backing up.”
Allen, I’ve been driving my TDr since 1983 with convex fender mounted mirrors and the dash mounted mirror. I’ve never had a problem seeing behind me. And don’t recall any “close calls” because I could not see a vehicle to the rear or side.

That does look pretty cool.
There’s an annual classic and street rod show on the Wildwood boardwalk. Friends that have attended report that it’s a blast!

One other measurement in addition to those Ed outlines, albeit one that is hard to check prior to assembly.
I suspect bringing the front track in three inches on each side would probably bring the tires into contact with the front fenders.

I’m not seeing much of a problem. Pages load ok. Some replies to posts seem to be taking a bit longer than usual. But nothing really objectionable.

Good luck with the sale.
So sad to hear your experience with this car is so tainted. She sure is beautiful.
Totally up to you, but it would be interesting to hear the selling price. Estimating values on TDr’s is difficult. It’s helpful to see some actual closed sales. I understand this is rather personal; and totally understand if you…[Read more]

Thanks Ed.
Yes, Stephen is looking for a better picture posting solution.
Meanwhile I created a Posting Pictures thread in the “How to do this in the forum” folder https://tdreplica.com/forums/topic/posting-pictures-2/

While we work on a better solution and with a thousand thank yous to Ed for documenting the current process…
There is a way to post pictures but it is a bit complicated & clunky. Here’s the process, as of now:
- go to the upper right part of the screen where it says “Howdy, ricrx7” and hover your cursor there. You’ll get a dropdown menu.
- On…

Dave @davearoy,
I’m starting over, with a simple question.
You wrote you need to replace your sending unit. Why do you believe that?
If you are getting no reading at all on the gauge, then yes, the sending unit may be bad.
Is it a mis-read situation? If yes, what’s the error? Read onto see why I am asking.
All of this assumes a Classic…[Read more]

Agreed! As Andy wrote above, he was going after the classic T-bucket look. Goal achieved!
What’s cool about Andy’s process is that it’s an alternative to learning to work with fiberglass mat and resins. Probably more straight forward for many hobbyists. You can adapt the process to any roof line config you want to achieve.
