Welcome FRDAnother place to look is Forever Sharp Steering Wheels fssteeringwheels.com they have some cool designs and sizes to choose from. Remember that our cars dont have much space so you might want to choose a 14 inch wheel over the 15 inch for just a little more room to get in and out of the car with. Also make sure that your steering shaft…[Read more]

Sweet ride!!!I think shed look even better with a lower profile wind screen or maybe even Brooklands. Also some wide white wall or thin red wall tires with red rims to really set her off. Keep the chrome moons over the red rims. Red grill slats would make the package complete. I like how you kept the fenders on the back they add a bit of class to…[Read more]

When I started the project I kept the existing wires intact then I thought that if I wasnt happy with it in the first place then why keep looking at it. It was a real mess. I ripped it all out then proceeded to overbuild everything. Ive got a 12 fuse box and most of my wires are 12 guage. The headlights are 10 guage as well as the ignition wires.…[Read more]

Hey JohnI also have a Duchess and I was going to use a VW harness to rewire my car. I bought the kit but decided to use the color schematic to make my own harness using bigger wire for added safety. I know its overbuilt but I wanted the peace of mind.I dont know what MG Magic is offering with their kit but I felt better makinng my own. Remember to…[Read more]

I had an oil and air filter container mounted on the fan sheild when I got my car. I removed it and just ran the hose directly to the air filter. I figure that less is more with my car. I like to keep it simple with the least amount of parts and places for gremlins to hide.

Hey BillAs Im reading your posts it seems like your located here in So Cal as well. I live in two homes, one in Highland and the other in Huntington Beach. Ive been thinking of setting up a meet for those of us on the west coast, later this summer. I think that a day at the beach would be best. Im not sure what is the correct one. I just figured that the ones that came with my car were the right ones. They sure look nice and they cover the windsheild frame bolts perfectly. The cowl frames are strictly for looks. Id really like to install the cowl brackets that let you fold down the windsheild. That would be great for summer nights at the…[Read more]

Welcome to our club!I just wanted to add my two cents to the discussion. I had a similar problem and a stupid mechanic that caused me to use up all 4 of my AAA tows in a year. Hey allWith all the talent in our club I was thinking that maybe the cowl brackets from SoCal speed shop could be modafied and used. Most of their parts are for early Fords but they may work.My Classic Roadsters LTD came with a pair of cool brackets and they do look better than just the frames. Im thinking of contacting a 3D printer company to…[Read more]
