Just one ignition switch that I use. The one in the steering column is currently disconnected until I work out the details between the new wiring harness and the ford ignition switch.

Like JasCochran, I too have a 2.3L ford, which is VERY quick. I owned a new Chevette, and would not need to experience that again. See if a 2.3 will fit, and if you are going to rebuild an engine anyway, why not go for the best four banger? Just a thought.Greg 

James Cochran and I both have a central ground strip. AFTER grounding to the frame, I ran a wire to a separate terminal strip with 12 screws to attach various items to, including the entire dash. Check the ground. Fiberglass cars have no natural ground. Run a wire from the signal to the frame and see if that does it.Greg
