Allen, thanks so much .I did a trip from Eastern NC to Louisville Kentucky in a ’59 Austin healey Sprite bug eye-the sprite in ’66 the bug eye was worn out then and still made it fine. I am totally psyched for this trip!
best

A good multi grade 10W 30 is fine for the engine if you’d rather not use straight 30W. For the transaxle, you’ll need 90W oil. NAPA, Auto Zone O’Reilleys etc will all have it. Good driving on your trip and have yourself a ball.

YEA RIGHT!!! I talked to a state trouper friend. She said any po…[Read more]

Link to Alden didn’t work but I found them at http://www.dannysrods.com/aa_coilovers.html. At $379 they are a bit pricey compared to $99 per pair for the Heidts from Summit Racing.
Thanks for the input. However, for my rather docile street cruising that I’m looking forward to, I think i’ll try the Heidts first.

To give you an idea of pricing I’m attaching a copy of my original email confirming the items that I ordered
from Eduardo along with their prices. The prices are in U.S. dollars and the coma (“,” ) is used as the decimal in Brazil so to give you an example
from my order all the rubber seals marked in red in the parts pages cost a total of $154.00…[Read more] -

I couldn’t figure the link out either. Probably best that I do not know that the wheels are on a once in a lifetime super-sale, never to be repeated. Christmas with all the grandkids is expensive (and they wouldn’t understand).

If your “new” TD runs as well as it looks, you should have no problem in your 6+/- hour trip. Many of us have done what you are planning but we did it before cell phones existed (with a lot of derring-do). The only surprises that I have had on such an excursion were fuel gauge and tire related except for the time that my gas pedal cable pa…[Read more]

I wish you luck in connecting with other MG replica owners, whether they be London Roadster owners or of other make. The guys on the east coast seem a bit more willing to get together than my experience in Arizona has produced so far with members listed on this site. I’m still hoping to meet some of the local MG people, but I found a local…[Read more]
