That is badass. Wondering if, once your #4 injector is unclogged, your rich-running condition on the other three holes will be cured. Fingers crossed.

I now have the Megasquirt computer installed and am starting to get it programed.Currently it’s WAY too rich except for #4 that’s getting no gas.
So tomorrow I’m going to pull #4 injector and see if it can be fixed or needs to be replaced. And fix a couple of other glitches that have popped up.But I’m encouraged…she makes noises all by herself.

That’s awesome, for sure…but chainsaw engines? I think this thing should be powered by mini 18-cylinder Wright-style radials. Or at least something like this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xe1LL1IC7Y(folds arms across chest defiantly)

The dual carbs on my 1600 DP fit in my MIGI OK. I have the aluminum manifolds which seem to go almost straight up and not curve out like yours. I’ll take some photos if you like?

That is an excellent video. Nice to see scale modelers (replicators) who apply their skills to their aircraft just as we do with our cars. Thanks for sharing!

Coming TO the USA from Canada is not a problem. The issue is Canadian regulations regarding the importation of unassembled vehicles INTO Canada

What about importing kits from Canada? The 35 Auburn Speedster made byPrototype Research & Development Ltd. in Canada looks sweet.

Yes actually.
Canada is very fussy about importing kits -
edward ericson replied to the topic kit weight in the forum VW Based Kits 14 years, 4 months ago
see if you can pass a piece of wire around the bottom where it meets the frame/pan. That’ll slice any caulking and find any overlooked fasteners.

importation of kit cars a problem in Canada? Easier if built in-country?

Larry Murphy replied to the topic kit weight in the forum VW Based Kits 14 years, 4 months ago
Duky, I don’t know the pound weight of a kit body, but I feel comfortable saying that a reasonably healthy man could lift one corner without difficulty. If you have all the bolts out , it’s possible that the builder used some type of caulking to seal the body/pan joint and this may be holding the two sections together. Try using a wide flat tool…[Read more]

After I wrote that, I Googled
“Daytona Fiberglass Canada in Delta BC”The search results included a number of fiberglass and boat companies in Delta BC. So another possibility is that maybe, just maybe, Daytona provided molds and licensed production of the kits to Daytona Fiberglass Canada. This is pure speculation on my part!

Hi Bob,Welcome aboard. This is a great group. Nice folks. And a lot of accumulated knowledge that would be useless anywhere else!
I’ll repeat here what I sent you via email. My best guess is that Daytona Fiberglass Canada in Delta BC was an assembler, possibly “official”, but not necessarily. The only Canada based TD kit manufacturer I know of is Pr…[Read more]

Any chance one of you might have that measurement, so I can double check what I have. I’m only a 1 1/4 short.

Larry Murphy replied to the topic fiberfab body in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 14 years, 4 months ago
If you are referring to the metal frame work that the fiberglass panels attach to ,I would be very cautious . The fiber glass panels may not be in proper position.,The steering column can be lowered by making a bracket if necessary. Unless the frame was built to the wrong measurments, something else may be wrong.

ray10 replied to the topic fiberfab body in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 14 years, 4 months ago
Ok, So I need to cut the frame work for the battery box down to match the two panels . this might help me with the steering wheel because it seams a little to high.
