Beautiful here in Baltimore for the last couple days. Dried clothes on the line today, cooked hotdogs on the grill. Spent most of the afternoon in the garage, messing with Bridget’s interior bits. Got some new carpet, new instruments. Started my new dashboard project. Installed the center cluster, though not wired up yet.Looks fairly TD-ish, I think.

Nice one, Doug. Like I said before, your car is totally cool. Would love to see it at Carlisle though I’d understand if towing the thing clear from Illinois seems to you counter-productive of the car’s purpose.Still, would love to cruise with ya, and would very much like to see that beast up close.Carry on. I’d flat-tow it. Drag it home, sort it out, then do the epic road trip. I’m getting old though. 10-15 years ago I’d’ve drove. You’ll get a better story that way.

Car’s a bargain. Goin’ price is going up on ebay. Looks like someone paid $8k for a nice VW one.

I took the pedals out of mine yesterday. Almost done with the fire extinguisher mount. Ordered new carpet. Made one new door panel backer; realized I don’t have enough vinyl to do the whole interior.Plan to start on the dash next Saturday.

Even if it’s a bit the worse for wear it looks a lot nicer than this one, which is currently bidding at about $8,000.BTW, with 5400 miles on it, stuff done 10 years ago (engine? trans? ball joints & etc?) basically is new. No?edsnova40616.5754861111
