Unrelated to the thread, but I must protect my reputation (as murky as it is!).
My friend Ed notes his brakes locked up when he came up fast ” behind Mossberg where he stopped at the bottom of a hill.”
For the record, I stopped at the Stop sign, which just happened to be at the bottom of a hill. I know. Silly me. 🙄
Thread drift over.

Paul Mossberg replied to the topic how to remove radiator shroud/shell in the forum MGTD Kit Cars 5 years, 2 months ago
Yes. There’s much more to be done.
Is your car a VW or front engine? The following applies to a VW, and only if he car was built per the assembly manual.
If the car was built correctly, those two small screws are only holding a curved piece of wood that provides some stiffness to the upper part of the shroud.
You must remove the weight box,…[Read more]

MG Magic is still in business. Here’s their web site:
https://mgmagicclassicmotorparts.com/
There is no source specifically for the Classic Roadsters Ltd. Duchess that I am aware of.
The Duchess uses a reproduction TD grill. Even Moss Motors does not have them. Occasionally you will see one pop up on eBay, typically in the $1,000 range if they…[Read more]

Okay … I did more research with some success.
These guys say they can do a cover to your specific measurements:Â https://www.carcovers.com/
The price will be in the $300+ range. When I had the custom cover made in 1983, the price was around $250. So I don’t think $300 is out of line over 45 years later.
I briefly described the vehicle, a 1952 MG…[Read more]

A cover for an original MG TD will most likely not fit your TDr.
Back in 1983, I was able to order a custom made cover. The manufacturer sent me a diagram of a generic car, and there were multiple measurements for me to fill out. Cover came out perfect!
I’ve searched around, and chatted with several current vendors, all to no avail.

Roy,
I know the feeling. I admit to being choked up when my TDr left for Houston. But I do have visitation rights!
Bring the Mini to Carlisle! It’s always been more about the people than the cars. And I think the Speedster/Spyder gang (and TD folks) would get a kick out of that car!

Probably not.
I have to be in New Jersey for an event on Sunday Oct 13.
It’s roughly a seven hour drive from VB to my home. Then after a clean up, a two hour drive to where I need to be Sunday at 1:00.
I’d have to at least begin the drive home Saturday after the show. Not sure I want to do that.

Good afternoon TDr Fans,
We are about to renew our web-hosting contract. The cost will be $286.20 for three years. That’s less than $8 a month! Many thanks to Stephen Houser (@stephenhouser)Â for his diligence in keeping our costs low!
The last time we had to ask for donations was in the summer of 2015. From that campaign, I still have $108.90…[Read more]

To flatten the weather strip that came with your car…
Heat it, gently, with either a heat gun or hair dryer to soften it. Take care if you use the heat gun. Install it, and get a friend (or two) to stand in the car and press down on the windshield frame, while you drill your bolt holes.
The above worked for me in 1982!
You don’t have to get…[Read more]
