Hmmm. Looking back through the notes on your car, Ringo and I had both suggested that the Starter motor could be the problem. I’m just wondering if an intermittent starter problem (like a slightly bent armature) could have been the problem all along?

The VW experts will pipe in on the drive train stuff, I’m sure. We get asked about price all the time. Depends on the Kit manufacturer for one thing. I think the British Coach Works and the Classic Roadsters Dutchess tend to get a little more $ because of rarity and kit quality.

Update:
Just turned 4000 Miles since registering the car in June. It only had 12000 Miles on it and it took the original owner 9 years to do that. I’ve done 1/3 of that since June!!! 16000 miles….and, loving it!

Might be a little oily and “smelly” but it’s the same concept. The fluid is temporarily filling the “pores” in the Gel Coat.
I may have to try it though. Heck all I have to do is leave a rag under my wife’s transmission!
