I would check  wires  first,, is the switch on the Column ? that is only the key ,,,the switch is down on the column by your foot wires can come loose and if it worked before you did work on it the first time ,,that is ware i would check first up top around the valve covers where ever you were working ..GEE i wish Mine would do that so I co…[Read more]

you are almost there , the clutch disk is stuck to the fly wheel unless the cable is not working  the way to release it like you are doing, but depress the clutch to the floor and hit the breaks with the car driving in gear ,this should release the disk  I had this problem with a Jeep i had many years ago every winter season that I had it

  Skater shipping a car can be trouble just think of the guys car that got leaked onat least hydro lock is an easy fix and you wanted to change the oil anyway I had mine shipped in from calf. to Tenn.   I had no trouble with the trucking company .   Greg I had the same trouble I just adjusted the lock strike plate with some thin brass stock and  moved it in  and a 1/16 inch out , the bottom hinge needed a shim also ,now they all work fine . better than buying new    I have also seen sliding bar locks used .   Dan R

  Richard , the only thing you may have over looked may be  the ground ? I had to add a ground strap she was only grounded with 1  .the alt should be wired to the amp gauge first than amp. gauge  to the switch but not at the switch but to the power box  {fuse box} I think it is  a 8 or 10 gauge wire,, it should all  be wired with 8 or 10 guage
