  • Thanks to everyone who have and are donating.
As some, or most of you may know, I sold my MGTD some time ago and still miss her dearly.
In 2002 when I purchased “Roxie”, the only resource for info on these cars was the yahoo group. While this was a great way to exchange information, I saw more of a need to have personal place and way to po…[Read more]

  • There is a website that is out there that lets folks registare a group and then members put their info in and it makes a map with flags showing where folks are in the country. I think it’s called flapper or something, I’ll do some checking and perhaps add a page with the map. This is a good idea and it would be fun to see the map and were all…[Read more]

If I had a gel coat scratch deep enough to require filling, I would start by filling it with a “surfacing putty”. Auto body fillers come in (at least) three densities. The thickest and most commonly found in hardware stores, auto parts stores…[Read more]

You didn’t break any Rule per say… just letting everyone know that reply by email will not post the reply in the forums and only sends an email to my webmaster email account thus making me the only one…[Read more]

    Phil,
Nice looking ride. What wheel are on there? They look like “real” wire wheels.
Email me a pic with some Bio info and I will post it up in the Photo Gallery page…..

  • Chrislana,
Very interesting project you have there. We are a MG-TD Replica site but as long as you’re not SPAMing the board, I don’t think any of our members would mind you posting here. There’s a lot of kit car experience here and maybe some can answer your a question or two for you and I’m sure Michael and you could start your own thread on…[Read more]

I?m still trying to work a deal on the shirts with a local company. Seems the holidays has them backed up making large orders for company x-mass give-a-ways but I hope to have the sample of the screen printing soon.
Once I get a finial print date, I will begin taking Pre-orders so I make sure and get the proper number…[Read more]

    Replacement Parts:

Several of the items used in the kits are actual MG parts, i.e. door handles, badge bars, turn signals.  In some cases, you can shop Moss Motors (http://www.mossmotors.com/) or search Ebay for MGTD parts. For most other items, you are limited to two companies, MG Magic in FL ( no website see info below) or Prototype Research i…[Read more]

  • Welcome Slogram,
Since your hubby is a VW enthusiast, having his knowledge and spare parts should make you project all the more fun.
As for finding the project,  I suggest you post a WANTED ad in our classifieds section and then search Ebay, Craig list and I’ve seen a few for sale on http://www.thesamba.com.
There is a unfinished kit for sale…[Read more]

  • Looks nice Bill… Will cool better than the Chrome stuff too.

  • Check your local RV or Camper Supply stores. They usually carry a variety of tire covers in various sizes.  But beware that putting a tire cover of a VW based kit could cause overheating or restrict fresh air to the Carburetor.

  • Frank replied to the topic Oil Pressure in the forum VW Based Kits 19 years, 6 months ago

    Brian,
Because you car has an Air Cooled VW motor, it is normal to have a higher oil pressure at first when the engine and oil are cool. As the engine heats up, so dose the oil and the warmer the oil, the thinner it becomes thus, a lower oil pressure. That being said, long idle times, more than 10 min,  in a air-cooled car isn?t a good id…[Read more]

I’d like to offer at least two maybe three shirt options. I know everyone has different tastes so just having the picture on the back is defiantly a option. The front will have a smaller picture of the car with the website address under. If you look at the other thread for shirts you will see what it looks like.
