thanks , glad i didnt buy the chinese distributer, my thinking was i needed an advance canister anyway…….. according to samba , i have a 7/71 ghia pan, thought they had disc brakes, mine has drums. i will sort it all out eventually.i will have many more questions……you guys have been there.

ok , heres’ my idea. put a piece of metal from one lug nut to the opposite , put a screw thru the center of the hubcap and cover with the emblem………or maybe magnets….hope you post a pic when they’re mounted

i bought a used pedal cluster on ebay. the old one was corroded beyond repair, (gas pedal broke off)i wonder how the pedal assembly was installed . they must have used the old shifter opening to start the nuts before the body was installed. i had to drill to gain accessthe floorpan is solid . havent seen any holes or thin places yet. of course i…[Read more]

oh that brings back memories, in the 60s i built an astra j-5, (kellison),392 hemi. that engine was soooo heavy. i cant believe i scraped a 57 300 c to do that. wish i had both of them now.

ok. top is on. a couple warm days of sun and pushing the loose bows up from the bottom and pulling the bows together with a cargo strap . didnt know vinyl would stretch that much

yes larry ,the bows were attached and in a zippered covering with the top. im thinking some summer weather might make a difference. surely im not the only one to have this problem.

my fiberfab top has been in storage and in nice shape, however it will not come close to fitting(4inches short). the snaps line up so it appears to be original to the car. does vinyl shrink that much? i have it snapped with the bows loose but cant push it up . any ideas?

from what i’ve read, they were mgb chassis in tf clothing. maby a buick/rover aluminum v8 would be more civil. i often wonder why the original dash wasn’t reproduced in any kit car ive seen should not be difficult to do.
