Happy New Year to all!…
No SNOW here in southern buckeye land, but rain rain rain.  Yesterday would heve been a great day for a ride, but, had to work late.  I’ll fire her up in the garage for a while this afternoon just to get the fluids circulating.

 I tried the top up once.  Just not the same.  I also tried the side curtains  what a pain..  For me, it’s top down if it ain’t rainin..  I’d rather bundle up.

You got me there, we were both pretty happy that day.  Weather was great.  This year I’ll put in a booster seat for him and get him out of the parking lot.  That lot is huge, but can only get up to about 10mph.  Gotta get him some shades too.

I got a great heater and even A/C, but the heat only warms about the lower half.  Still got the wind, lots of wind.  I only use the top in case of rain. 

Still cold here in Ohio too.  Suppose to get up to about 50 Saturday.  If it’s dry I may try a short ride.  Somewhere, I still have my artic parka from the AF.   It kept me really warm back then.  

Paul thats Scary!!  But I let both my daughters drive my Spitfires and MGBs when they were in school.  Not very often though..  Mostly Saturday or Sundays.  Don’t think they ever took them to school….that I knew of??

I just had to show off the 3 year old grandson’s excitment.  So far he’s the most excited about the car..  Even now, with snow on the ground he’s ready to go.   I also have a 20 year old grand-daughter and a 16 year old grandson that just got his license..  Neither show much interest even after a rides last summer.   Man, at 16 I would have di…[Read more]

Thanks for the encouragement, I did a search on google maps,  It’s about 422 miles by I-70 approx 7.5 hrs and 488 miles back roads 10.5 hrs…

Mine is thru State Farm, and I have reg Ohio title for kit car.  I had to get it appraised and it’s just insured for flat amout.   Insurance full coverage with towing & road service etc. for about 250.00 a year.

I guess I’m a die hard or maybe just plain nuts.   Went for a drive the other day, top down, replaced the light jacket with, a sweater and heavy coat and turned on the heat.  Only winterizing I’m planning on is checking the antifreeze.  Anyday above 50, dry and sunny is fairgame to me.  Let em look!!  I still get thums up from most.

Sarge, another option is lowering your seat and putting it on a slight angle back.  Also moving the back rest to the top of the tub helps.  I gained about 6″ by moving mine.  Montie
