Hi Bill,
MY 53 TD, Yeah that was a cool vanity plate. Unfortunately, by the time I started driving that car my father did not want to pay for the plates anymore and I was in college so I just got regular state issue plates. So as far I know, the # should be up for grabs unless maybe they hold it for a time or if someone else already took it…[Read more] -

You’d have to know much more than that description relates. However, it’s probably not worth anywhere near $9,000. It has a set of dual Kadron carbs, but that’s all that is shown, no interior pictures, no side shots, etc.
There are MANY factors to consider when buying these kit cars: Who built it? What kit manufacturer is it? Front (Ford/GM) or…[Read more] -

Mark Hendrickson replied to the topic Pinto Carb in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 16 years, 3 months ago
This carb is a Holley-Weber progressive 2 barrel. It is the same basic carb that was used on many different applications.
Your 1980 is a “feedback” design and has other emissions related ports and parts hooked to it. It is also coolant heated.
Here’s how you can get one that has absolutely NO EMISSION provisions. You will have to re-route the…[Read more] -

Rich,
I was just surfing around this site and noticed on pg 61 of the fiberfab manual in the “download manuals” section of this group there is a diagram of exactly how my stone guards attach to the headlamps. Check it out when you get a chance. -

Thanks to all who replied!!! This is just an idea I am mulling around. It seems that most people think it’s a bad idea, and their arguments are rather convincing.
It seemed like it would be a fun project to keep me occupied for a while with great rewards. But now it seems like it might be more like a long headache with great dispair!

It’s a British Coach Works Replicar and was manufacturered in their plant in PA in 1982.
I can’t wait to get back to Florida (it’s cold in NY), to clean up the fuel system and tune it up. -

Hi,
I’ve been watching these cars for a while. I’ve see people asking for $7500 and up but actual sales have been between $3500 to just under $6000. One sold on Ebay in December for $5800 and it was in VERY good condition.
I won’t tell you whaI paid for mine….you’d cry

Thanks Mark. That where I bought my new beam. Aircooled.net has all four torsion arms w/ball joints for $180.00. I thought that was pretty reasonable. Don’t know what brand ball joints they use though. I am like you and would want German ball joints.

Hi Kent
Maybe a Weber? It’s like half a 4
barrel, so you get good low speed mileage but when you open it up it
really delivers. Cost is not cheap but the only other options are
pretty much modified Holleys or similar carbs that are like what
came on the Pinto. What do you mean by so much junk on it?Ringo
