Hi Shane, Welcome to the forum.
Sometimes it seems that life’s circumstances cause two people’s paths to intersect for reasons which we do understand ,but often it leads to someone’s dreams being carried forward even after their life here is over.Seems to be your priviledge to fullfill your friend’s dream. These cars are lots of fun under or…[Read more] -
Larry Murphy replied to the topic Winterizing my TD in the forum General Discussion 15 years, 5 months ago
Perhaps I misunderstood, but I think Luvmytd was referring to swapping the tonneau cover for the top. That was his winterization process. Seems like I remember him driving it during his winter vacations before he retired.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. -

Hi, Quite a project you’ve got there.
It might be helpful to give your location. Just the general area would be OK. The prospective buyer would have a better idea of the cost and effort required to get it home.
Also ,I did not see the doors on the list or in the pictures.Did I overlook them or are they missing?
You did a good job with the p…[Read more] -

Rollie, Thanks for letting us know about a good product that produces good results.I had used their cleaner but will try the Ultimate Compound also.I remember that Paul recommends their products as well. Wow!!!! You are getting off to quite a start. It’s easy to see that you don’t give up easily. Things have got to get better soon. It’s amazing what can be done with common sense and the bare minimum of stuff to work with.

Larry Murphy replied to the topic Lower Radiator Hose in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 15 years, 5 months ago
Bill, My Chevette based BCW uses a L shaped lower hose. It does not have any of the air stuff so I do not have to go arround it.Really does simplify things in an already crowded engine compartment.

Allen, You may already know that the MG’s did not have defrosters. I suspect that the kit manufacturers included the defroster [actually defogger in this case] to comply with state requirements. My London Roadster factory built car has a 3in.vent in the center of the dash . It looks UGLY and serves no purpose since they mounted the blower with…[Read more]

Denora, Click on the search button at the top and type in Chevette drive shaft and you will see some discussion about the problem you describe.
Do you know if the drive shaft has been balanced? Is the rear u-joint centered properly in the rear end? Are both U-joints free of tight spots[not binding] and not sloppy fitting?
Check for excessive p…[Read more] - Load More
