Larry Murphy replied to the topic New member needing some help in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 13 years, 5 months ago
Welcome to the forum. I have a Chevette based BCW TD replica with chrome 14” wheels with holes somewhat like the original MG. They were on the car when I got it and I don’t think they are available now. I’ve seen other BCW’s with steel painted wheels with holes that I think were from a Toyota or possibly Nissian. They use a small center cap that…[Read more]

Paul, I’m sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I agree with what Allen said having gone thru the loss of my parents as well as my wife’s parents who were in many ways as close as my own. The memories become special treasures that nothing can take away.

Roy, Look in Carolina Bob’s photo gallery to see a TD with 8 spoke wheels. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Larry Murphy replied to the topic Daytona Migi II for sale in NC in the forum Running MGTD Kits Cars for Sale 13 years, 6 months ago
Dan, That’s a great car!!!Also the front engine MiGis are quite rare. I would love to add it to my collection but garage space and bank account are not allowing for another TD at this point.Best of luck with your sale. Your starting price seems reasonable to me especially since it is not your average replica.

John, The fuse panel is on the left side of the firewall under the dash on the drivers side on my London Roadster. My car has the complete VW pan and suspension so I can’t help you on the grease fitting locations.
I bet it was a tight fit with two labs. Did you have an escort vehicle following or was it a solo trip? An adventure to remember I’m sure. -

Larry Murphy replied to the topic Motorcycle Mirror in the forum VW Based Kits 13 years, 6 months ago
I put a motorcycle mirror on my London Roadster. I used a die to extend the threads further up the mirror shaft. Then I tapered one side of a nut [made it look like a small lug nut] and ran it up on to the new threads on the mirror shaft. I then removed the lower windshield frame bolt and enlarged it enough to allow the mirror shaft fit thru it…[Read more]

It’s hard to tell from the small picture, but the front fenders look like CMC with the splash apron split in the center.I do not see any floor panels in the picture , which makes me wonder if it is designed for a VW instead of a Ford. Beware .50% is not a good rating.
Roy ,I don’t think these parts will be an exact fit for your MiGi. -

Paul, That verse applies to bragging on yourself. You’re bragging on your daughter. Keep it up, she deserves it and you cannot help it. Go Lauren!!!!!

MGLR, You are right , the coilover shocks do not interfere with the tow bar. However,if the car has the coilover shocks mounted at an angle, that would be a clear indicator that it did not have VW suspension and that the tow bar would need to be modified to fit.

Larry Murphy replied to the topic Road trip with my London Roadster in the forum TD Replicas 13 years, 6 months ago
John, The tow bar is a good idea BUT and it’s a big one,,Your pictures look to me like you have one of the London Roadsters that is built on a custom chassis. If it is the custom chassis model, the regular VW tow bar will not hook up without modifications. MGLondonRoadster ran into this problem with his custom chassis LR. If your car has coi…[Read more]

The car on the trailer is the BCW I got from Mark [Pink MG]. It was taken just after Mark arrived at my house. That’s him at the rear of the trailer.I know he will never forget that day. About ten miles from the end of a 500 mile tow,his transmission blew. He only had first gear left when the picture was taken.

I have seen these wheels in person on Hawk521’s car . They are beautiful!!! Look in Luvmytd and Sarge’s photo gallery to see them on their cars as well as closeup pictures of the wheels. All I’ve seen are 14”. They fit well under the wider fenders of the front engined CMC/FiberFab cars but may be too wide to fit under the fenders of the BCW…[Read more]
