I got one of those hats–tartan style. I’ll need a chin strap to wear it in Bridget tho…. Gonna have to get an old RAF helmet and goggles, I think.

The rear bumper on my BCW VW has a hole in the middle. There’s a bolt through it into a bracket.
Looks like the originals have a center hole too.

So I reached in this morning and turned the key and she started right up as usual.
This makes me suspect a heat sink effect on the starter/solenoid. Used to get that with the Chevy II. The headers ran right past and sort of curved around the starter.…[Read more]
