Donna,
I’m going to be honest. I don’t think these cars are designed to be comfortable going 70-75. Back roads or short highway trips are fine but an hour at 70-75 would not be comfortable. You may want to look at a Miata. Around town the MGTD ford based replica is my car of choice in nice weather.

I think the brand is vintage as I believe that is what I have. If the speedo is broken perhaps you want to take it out and send it to a speedo repair facility. These may be difficult to locate now as they are pretty old.

I’ve contributed to other sites so let me know where to go with some cash and what is generally considered an acceptable amount.

Allen, For 300 dollars that is the best investment you ever made, if you like building a car. If you don’t like building cars I’ll make an offer of 600. Doubling your investment in a week can’t beat that on Wall Street 🙂
Have fun it will be rewarding to see it come together. -

I believe some owners of the Cobra community got in deep trouble with a company years ago relative to title washing. Be careful you could get yourself in big trouble. I have no direct experience however. I believe going up the chain at the RMV would better option since you seem to have a clear chain of custody.

Bill, I titled my car that was previously owned by two different owners and I believe I had a MSO from Fiberfab. It looks like an official document. If you need a copy I could probably find mine and send you a copy. Purchasing a kit car without all the documentation can cause some pain.

Rob Baker replied to the topic Front of car too high in the forum General Discussion 14 years, 8 months ago
I believe the quick fix is cutting the springs or getting new springs that are the correct lenght and the correct compression rate.
but
I believe the correct way to resolve this would be coilovers with the correct spring rate for the weight of the car. This would be an expensive alterative but would really solve every issue. -

I’m fortunate that my Ford based kit is an Auto. In this car I’m glad it is a auto since there is not a lot of foot space for a clutch and a dead pedal. By the way this is my first ever Automatic and I’m no kid (60)

I’ve got the light and small bracket from the bumper mount and hopefully with some brackets I found down the celler I’ll be able to come up with the mounting bracket. Car is in NH so this weekend I’ll come up with the plan of attack. Think I’ll put an aluminum plate behind the plate to clean things up a little.
I’ll take a picture for you guys w…[Read more] -

Since you seem to own the car with the past title and bill of sale. I would take the old title to the local registry. If they don’t like the vin I think your only option is to get a new vin thru the registy state new vin process. Once you get the new Vin then you can get a new Title and registration. Each state is more frustrating then the next.

Rob Baker replied to the topic Fog Light How To? in the forum General Discussion 15 years ago
Ed,
The theory is you don’t want the full 12 volt lighting power to go thru the switch since the switch is probably not up to the task powerwise and can burn out or cause a voltage drop.
A relay is nothing more then a switch that can handle to power without a voltage drop. The dash mounted switch controls the relay. The relay controls the p…[Read more] - Load More
